Back to School Sales 2026
It’s time for the 2026 Back to (home) School sales and deals. While many homeschool families run on a more year-round schedule, the annual back to school sales are always a great time to stock up on staples and supplies. My friend Erica shared an epic tip on TikTok recently- stock up now during the sales, and stash some of the new supplies for JANUARY when some fresh supplies add fun to the winter doldrums!

Most of the back to school sales start now (in July) but this post will be updated through September, so check back often for newly added info.
Here in silly California we don’t have “No Tax Weekend” so I had NEVER heard of it, but if you are lucky enough to live in a state that does this, it’s a great way to get your supplies for the coming school year for less. You can find a list of weekends and details, organized by state, HERE.
Mint & Bloom- Our fave secular, progressive curriculum sale kicks off 8/1/2026, the same day their new World Geography curriculum (elementary-high school levels) launches! The entire store will be 25% off! We are HUGE fans and have used the Melancholy Grammar, Power of the People and Read Grow Glow curriculum in the past. For the 2025-26 school year we completed their BIG WORLD HISTORY curriculum and it was excellent. I just ordered the new US History curriculum for the 26-27 school year, and I’m super stoked about that!
Hearth & Story - 15% off all curriculum ends July 31, 2026. We used the 6th grade and the 7th/8th grade curriculum last year and will be using it again this year. We love the Vocabulary, novel studies and writing components of this secular ELA resource! Highly recommend.
People Are Culture- 15% off until 8/1/2026, In addition you can use the code BETHGRIFFIN30 to get an EXTRA 30% off which is a total of 45% off!! Mega deal on a really cool social studies curriculum for middle school and high school level learners.
Nautilus Homeschool Happening NOW and through the end of August: 20% off summer sale. This is a customizable K-12 literature-based curriculum, for intellectually curious kids who love to read. Course options include everything from classic literature to astrophysics, and parents can mix and match to fit each student's level and interests. Free trials and monthly subscription options are available.
Blossom & Root- This wildly popular secular curriculum will be on sale again this year August 1-September 15, 2026. Everything 30% off.
Curiosity Chronicles- Curiosity Chronicles July 17- August 3, 2026 - discounts up to 20% off
PANDIA PRESS - They’ve run a few “pop-up” sales this summer, most notably on the newer Literature Odyssey curriculum (ends July 20, 2026) It’s typical for them to do a bigger Summer sale- historically offering 25% off History Quest and RSO- this usually starts August 1st, but I haven’t seen an official announcement yet- will update this post when I do! Definitely sign up for their emails for sales through out the year

Nature School Lessons- Lots of items on sale in this TPT shop for 2026!
Michaels Stores Keep checking for the August code. They have increased their “teacher discount” to 20% through August 2, 2026. They also have the same deal they ran last year: Buy one Get one 50% off on Crayola products in-store or 25% off online. They also have some deals going on Creatology bulletin board supplies and “learning kits”.
Kawaii Pen Shop- Click their Back To School tab for sale prices on tons of “essentials” cute thermoses, pens, highlighters, notebooks AND MORE!
Office Depot You’ll find deals of up to 60% off the best-selling school supplies for Kindergarten-college at Office Depot. They have art supplies starting at $0.35 and it’s a great place to get a serious calculator. Make sure to check out the “DEAL OF THE WEEK” too. They also offer curbside pick up if you are local to an Office Depot, and they also participate in Tax Free Days.
Kohl’s Deals on clothes, shoes, socks, lunch bags and character backpacks (up to 25% off with coupon), Kohl’s has what you need to be dressed for all your super fun homeschool field trips (and even get some new PJs for those snuggly days where you don’t go anywhere!). Check HERE for current sale codes.
IKEA -ok, yes this Back to School sale is aimed at young adults headed off to college- but as a homeschooler, it’s one of my FAVORITE B2S sale events of the year!! Stock up on homeschool organization essentials like THIS CART .
Walmart Another “one-stop-shop” option with deals on everything from laptops to clothes to supplies, Walmart has it all! Tech (like headphones) and backpacks from $15 and up, snacks from $2 and up and supplies starting at $0.25 are a few of our fave finds. Walmart also has some awesome STEM options, board games and organizing supplies worth checking out!
Dollar Tree and Dollar General all have Back To School deals worth checking out- both Dollar Tree and Dollar General have online shopping options. These are great spots to find general consumable supplies, fun stuff for project based learning, organization items, and great deals on food too!
JC Penny Homeschoolers can be rough on our threads because we are constantly out adventuring, and kids grow FAST. Check out JC Penny’s Back To School sale for big savings on clothes, active wear, shoes, back packs, tech, and even water bottles.
Barnes and Noble There are loads of great places to buy books, and we have a B & N that’s less than a mile from home, so it’s a place we often go to shop for birthday gifts-check out their Back to School deals and stock up on anything you need for your upcoming novel studies, research projects and more!
Old Navy Another great option for back to homeschool gear is Old Navy. Every outfit for every season at big savings. They are constantly having sales, so check back regularly for current deals.
Macy’s You’ll find deals on clothes and gear for the season at Macy’s along with dorm essentials for those heading off to college. It’s a good time to check their deals and offers section too!
Etsy- Don’t forget your favorite small businesses this season, Etsy has plenty of back to school discounts and is the perfect place to buy craft kits, art kits, maps, vintage items, personalized goods, and incredible craft and lesson plan supplies!
Teachers Pay Teachers- Stock up on fun stuff at TPT this back-to-homeschool season. Shop the ON SALE tab for deals and the FREE section for fun freebies any time! They also often run a site-wide Back to School Sale event in August!
Apple If you are in need of some new tech this season, Apple has a few deals to scope. Their Ed deals are available to newly accepted or current college students and their parents, as well as homeschool teachers of all grade levels! YAY!
Best Buy- another good spot to shop for B2S tech- ear pods, headphones, keyboards, a replacement mouse for the one your kid keeps drop kicking across the house when they are trying to carry too many things….
Five Below- loads of art and school supplies! Cute decor and self-care stuff as well! Back to School deals starting at $1 and backpacks for $5!!
